On Boxing Day 26 December and on 27, 29, and 30 December

While everything is still asleep and it is pitch dark, our engineers are already hard at work with shovel, coal, and fire to heat up the boiler of the steam locomotive. Only hours later does the steam set the machine in motion and the locomotive can run. The steam also warms the beautifully decorated carriages. The trams are now ready for a ride through the winter landscape of the Brouwersdam. So… hop on board!

The brochures of Henri Tap

In the past, almost no one owned a car and the RTM trams were the main means of transport. In winter — due to often extreme weather conditions — there was an adjusted timetable. There was no internet back then. Fortunately, there was Henri Tap, the RTM’s designer. He created beautiful, atmospheric brochures for the winter timetable.
