We celebrate our 60th anniversary on May 14, 15 and 16

Steam Festival 2026 - anniversary edition. A special edition this time, as the museum celebrates its 60th anniversary.

At the RTM tram museum near the Brouwersdam, you can once again experience the steam era. Back when coal was used to power machines. Ride a historic steam tram, take a trip on a steam boat or enjoy rides on a historic carousel.

Things to experience during the Steam Festival

• 5 historic tram rides from 11:30, every hour. Buy your ticket here.
  The tram rides at 12:30 and 14:30 aren't possible for wheelchairs.
• Steam boats Volharding, de Goudvisch and Anna-Jacoba departing from Springersdiep from 11:00 - 16:00 every half hour, return transport by RTM bus included

• Steam group Stormpolder with real steam locomotives in LGB scale

The museum, including restoration workshop and exhibition, is open from 10:00 to 17:00.

Please note! Limited number of tickets available, only at the ticket office, and only for children aged 4 and older.
